the Åland Art Association!

The Åland Art Association buys in art for members only lotteries, arranges exhibitions, artists camps, artists get togethers, courses, workshops, trips and excursions.

The membership letter ”i vått & torrt" is published approximately 4 times per year. The association was founded in 1953 and consists of about 420 members to date , both active artists and art enthusiasts.

Within the association there is a special sector called "Artists from Åland" ("Åländska Konstnärer"). The membership to that sector requires active and continous production and that certain criteria are met.

The purpose of the association is to awaken and deepen the interest in visual arts, act for artistic activity on Åland besides supervising and creating contacts within the visual arts foremost those with Nordic connections.
